Father dies minutes after dancing with daughter at her wedding

Tim Buchanan, a 54 year old, veteran detective with the York County Sheriff's Department in Rock Hill, South Carolina, attended his daughter's wedding in Costa Rica on Saturday had a heart attack just minutes after his father-daughter dance but didn't survive.

16 year old newly married girl dies in building collapse in Lagos

A makeshift building located at Kuata Area by Amara Olu Street, Mechanic Village, Agidingbi, Ikeja, collapsed Tuesday, and killed a 16-year-old girl named Faizan Muritala who only got married to her husband Mohammed 10 days ago. ‎ The collapse of the building was attributed to a mudslide.  This incident occurred less than 24 hours after a mosque situated at 3, Adepitan Street, off Ramat Crescent, Ojudu, partially collapsed.

Harassment of Lagosians: Ambode seeks redeployment of some Task Force officers

Some Lagos State Task Force officials harassed, assaulted & detained some men and women in the early hours of September 3rd, in Lekki, Victoria Island and other places on the Island in Lagos State. These young Nigerians suffered from what can be described as a shocking abuse of power.

Lagos State Government has now reacted. Governor Ambode has sent a formal request to the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, asking for the redeployment of some police officers attached to the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences Unit.
